Position Summary: The Software Engineer is responsible for generating, documenting and testing software for PRC-Saltillo’s iOS-based products and support tools. They will be involved in all phases of project development. This includes planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance. This person must have strong programming skills, be a superior problem solver and be able to work well in both individual and team environments. Daily work will involve software development using Objective-C and Swift for the iOS platform.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements features and resolve bugs pulled from a prioritized backlog of work shared by the team
  • Works closely with the product team to provide input on overall product design
  • Creates and maintains support tools to improve reliability and efficiency of the department
  • Expands knowledge of recent developments and directions in the software field
  • Assists in porting an existing Objective-C project to Swift


Education and Experience:

Required:

  • A./B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Experience with iOS development tools and frameworks


Preferred:

  • 2+ years experience with Swift
  • Experience with:
    • SQL
    • Git
    • Python, scripting
    • UI/UX
    • Web service APIs
