Day Porter - Janitorial (Route)

About the Job:

• Temp Day Porter / Rout Driver - Temporary role for approximately 8 weeks.
• Property Address: will cover a few properties in between Chula Vista and San Diego Downtown areas.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday (38 hours per week)
• $17.00 per hour + mileage reimbursement
• MUST have a valid California Driver's License and a Reliable Vehicle.
• Weekly Pay

Day Porter Qualifications:

• Janitorial experience preferred.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Meet the physical requirements: constantly walking, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, reaching over the shoulder, lifting, and carrying.
• Constant weight – 1-35 lbs. Occasional weight – 36-50 lbs.

Day Porter General function:

• Pick up trash as needed and empty trash receptacles.
• Perform cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning cobwebs, wiping down surfaces, restroom cleaning, etc.
• Clean exterior surfaces of windows, window sills, and doors.
• Remove and/or clean up any debris or soil such as stickers, chewing gum, coffee spills, graffiti, etc.
• Continuously walk the property to inspect all public areas for cleanliness.
• Notify the supervisor in case there is a need for repairs.
• Required to always wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task, which includes gloves, goggles, safety vest, and any other safety equipment that the task requires.

The Ideal Day Porter:

• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to identify and manage priorities.
• Ability to complete the physical requirements of the job.
• Day porter/janitor/custodian experience preferred.
