Journeyman HVAC Technician

Malace|HR is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to work onsite at Household Cleaning Supplies Company's manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, KY. The role will be on 1st shift M-F and pays $30-36 per hour. Qualified Candidates will possess the below traits and abilities:

Job Duties:

• Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components
• Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings.
• Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities.
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
• Completion of written documentation is required, such as work orders, permits and safe work documentation.
• Manage refrigerants in compliance with KY and EPA requirements, including maintaining accurate refrigerant usage and inventory records
• Routinely available as "On Call" craftsperson
• Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Licenses, Skills, and Abilities

• Team player with good interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or state equivalent required 2 years of related trade schooling or equivalent
• KY Journeyman HVAC License
• Minimum 3 years experience working with mechanical systems. Universal certification (Refrigeration) required.
• Ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes
• Proficient with computer-based systems and programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Skilled and physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle
• Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
