Commercial Plastics seeks a full-time Automation Technician on 2nd Shift for our manufacturing facility in Waverly, NE. We are experiencing a tremendous amount of growth in our Waverly, NE Facility. 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 4pm-12am

Essential duties and responsibilities of the Automation Technician can include, but are not limited to tending one or more automated press/assembly lines, special purpose machines, or industrial robots to mold workpieces to specifications on production basis by performing the following duties:

  • Starts machine, engages feed, and observes operation.
  • Inspects and measures machines product to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Moves machine controls and guides to adjust machine.
  • Replaces worn machine accessories such as controls or switches.
  • Cleans press, molds and parts.
  • Tends support equipment other than molding press and mold.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment following safety procedures and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Assists in directing the Automation and Assembly Operators. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing product complaints and resolving problems.
