Job Summary:
The Volvo Parts Counter specialist at Orland Park Division in Tinley Park, Illinois is responsible for providing top-notch customer service and driving sales within the auto industry. As an individual contributor, this role plays a key part in maintaining customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and promoting the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a competitive base salary plus commission structure.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Identify and fulfill customer needs by providing accurate information and recommending products
- Manage incoming phone calls and emails in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain a neat and organized parts counter display and inventory
- Receive and verify shipments of parts, enter them into inventory system, and stock shelves
- Process transactions and handle payments securely and accurately
- Collaborate with service and sales teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient operations
- Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Continuously learn about new products and models from Volvo and other competing brands
- Keep up-to-date with market trends and competitor pricing to adjust sales strategy accordingly
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the auto industry
- Knowledge of Volvo parts and accessories is a strong asset
- Strong customer service skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency in using computer and inventory management systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional weekends/ evenings
