Bonneville County Sheriff's Office Notice of Patrol Positions
The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications from qualified applicants who are interested in potential employment as an Idaho P.O.S.T. Certified Patrol Deputy.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to apply:
- 21 years of age
- U.S. Citizen
Education:
- High School Graduate
OR
- GED
OR
- High School Equivalency
OR
- Minimum of 15 college credits

Note: Applicants who have used marijuana, in any form, within one (1) year of the assessment date, will not be eligible for consideration for a position with the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office.

Written Exam: Applicants must demonstrate the ability to perform essential job functions by correctly answering at least 60% of the written assessment questions. You must make an appointment to take the exam as space is limited.
Exams will be given on the following dates and times:
Wednesday, May 1 0800 or 1300
Thursday, May 2 0800 or 1300
Friday, May 3 0800 or 1300

You may be turned away if you haven't scheduled for testing!
Physical Readiness Test: Applicants must demonstrate their ability to pass the P.O.S.T. physical standards listed below:
- Vertical Jump greater than 14 inches
- Minimum of 15 sit-ups in 60 seconds
- Minimum of 21 push-ups
- 300-meter sprint in less than 77 seconds
- 1.5-mile run/walk in less than 17:17
This will be held Saturday, May 4th for those applicants who have passed the Written Exam.
Applicants who have met the above standards will then be considered for additional interviews, background investigation and polygraph exam.
