Senior Accountant

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This is a key role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
- Review and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making processes
- Assist in the implementation of accounting software systems and provide training to staff as needed
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- CPA certification is highly desirable
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger maintenance
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of technical accounting standards and regulations
- Familiarity with payroll processes is a plus

Must be proficent in GAAP and ECEL spreadsheets
