With a combined 120 years of cheese making experience, state of the art equipment, and a team of dedicated employees; Gossner Foods is a leader in the dairy industry. What began as a strictly Swiss cheese plant, has expanded until now over 30 varieties of cheeses, and also UHT (Ultra High Temperature) shelf stable milk in a variety of flavors.

Primary Responsibilities:

The team at Gossner Foods is looking for a dependable candidate for a key position safely maker Cheddar using a combination of traditional and automated methods. You will receive hands on training for many important responsibilities including following detailed recipes, running computer-controlled process's, cleaning systems, accurate record keeping, and problem solving. The ideal candidate will be reliable, have good attendance, be self-motivated, willing to perform hands on tasks, and be able to work independently. Adherence to all company policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is mandatory. Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the entire shift is required.
• Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check, drug test to determine eligibility.
• Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak in English.
• The individual must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Pay:

$16.50 - $19.25 per hour with aggressive performance-based raises. Total annual compensation in one year is expected to range 40 - 50 k. Expected compensation beyond can exceed 55K. Total compensation includes pay for hours worked, PTO, bonuses, holiday pay, etc.

Schedule:

• Monday -Friday. 4am -1pm or 6am-3pm. (Exact schedule TBD)
• Potential occasional weekends.
