We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation and communication. You will support nurses, doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. You will support nurses, doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage with patients - building trust and rapport to provide a patient experience that surpasses expectations
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and file medical records, test results, Rx refills, and insurance reports
- Assist providers during examination and treatment
- Check and record patient vitals
- Assist with blood draws and during medical
- Maintains supplies, cleans rooms and equipment, and stocks exam rooms
- Manages patient flow and volume. Keeps patients informed of expected wait times
- Assists in maintaining a neat, clean and orderly appearance throughout the facility
- Other miscellaneous duties as deemed necessary
- High school diploma/GED
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school (credentials in Texas)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid Texas drivers license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Compassionate, respectful, ethical
- Previous medical office experience preferred
