Position Overview:

This position provides a hands-on approach to production planning and facilitating manufacturing activities and workflow. The position will coordinate work through various stages of production as well as identify and help to resolve operational issues. Additionally, this position ensures materials and supplies are available for production by coordinating with purchasing and inventory departments. Lastly, the position supports the company's Master Planner/Scheduler by coordinating and prioritizing jobs based on customer demand and work cell load.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Generate a schedule to establish sequence and cycle time of each project
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing to resolve issues
  • Generate work orders and manufacturing documentation
  • Track production projects and manage work changes and cancellations
  • Review work orders proactively to resolve potential manufacturing issues
  • Interface with purchasing, inventory control, and engineering to help resolve material issues
  • Meet or exceed shipping dates as per customer commitments
  • Interface with customer service to update project status

Required Experience:

  • Associates degree required; Technical Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in a production, assembly, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with MRP/ERP software systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
