General Summary of Position:

Will assist the concrete form carpenter with laying out work from plans or sketch. Assists with building wooden structures, such as: concrete form, false work, pouring chute, scaffold, etc. Assists with building in place to line and grade, or prefabricates in units to be erected later, forms for bridge, drainage structure, wall, etc. May assist the concrete finisher with finishing wet surfaces to grade with hand tools, float, trowel, screed template and straight edge on all types of concrete work requiring a fine finish. May perform other related duties.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of job site safety requirements and necessary precautions
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, and perform strenuous labor under adverse weather and conditions
• Basic knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in concrete construction

General Work Environment:

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment
• Regular exposure to below ground operations and conditions
• Regular exposure to outside construction conditions and inclement weather including heat and humidity
• Exposure to loud noises
• Regularly working around fast moving vehicles
