Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Completing the daily checklist.
  • Emptying all interior and exterior trashcans and ash trays.
  • Arranging, tidying, and cleaning the patio, Jacuzzi and/or pool furniture and area
  • Restocking pool towels
  • Watering all interior and exterior plants
  • Dusting all interior plants
  • Dusting furniture and lighting fixtures throughout hotel interior
  •  Collecting soiled linens for laundering
  • Organizing and storing linen supplies in linen closet
  • Assisting with the folding of linen
  • Moving and arranging furniture
  • Polishing metal work
  • Cleaning and tidying exercise room, hallways, lobbies, loungers, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, business centers, guest laundry, vending areas, pool areas, and other work areas so they are hygienic, attractive, and orderly. Cleaning of these areas include but are no t limited to sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing dusting, removing all trash and debris, ect.
  • Replenishing bathroom supplies in all Guest Public bathrooms as well as in Employee bathrooms
  • Cleaning guest rooms as needed
  • Shampooing carpets and upholstery, as directed
  • Using streamer to clean all tike and hard surfaces
  • Cleaning manager offices. Disposing of all trash and debris.
  • Washing walls, ceilings, and woodwork
  • Washing windows, window sills, and door panels
  • Replacing light bulbs as needed
  • Delivering guest items to rooms
  • Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucet or toilets, loose tile, broken window panes, missing nuts or screws, furniture needing repairs, etc.)
  • Report any lost and found items to you supervisor. Make sure you include the date the item was found and the room number or area the item was found in. Employees are not allowed to take lost and found items home
  • Possible painting and light maintenance duties
  • Walking the entire property to ensure the property is free of trash, debris, room service trays etc…
  • Must complete special projects as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper, Chief Engineer, and/or Manager on Duty. Special projects include but are not limited to special deep cleaning projects.
