  • Layout, measure, bend, cut, thread, ream, and fit hydraulic tubing systems.
  • Install single line, group tubing and fittings.
  • Layout and install pneumatic and hydraulic panels and end devices.
  • Layout, measure, fabricate and install tubing trays.
  • Routing and bundling of wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards.
  • Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs, Interfaces & Instrumentation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and schematics.
  • Operate machines or use hand tools and power tools to secure parts in place.
  • Perform continuity tests on completed assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate component malfunctions; make necessary repairs or corrections to system.
  • Maintain red-line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication.
  • Communicate red-line changes to Engineer or Team Leader for revision prior to completion.
  • Work with technical support and customers to ensure completeness and accuracy of systems.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as an Instrumentation Technician with related experience in hydraulic and pneumatic control panel assembly, instrumentation, controls, and/or electrical systems.
  • Proficient knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control logic.
  • Willing to learn hydraulic tube bending, 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” predominately.
  • Able to understand, evaluate and apply technical information.
  • Willing to learn industry and American Petroleum Institute (API) standards as well as electrical theory and terminology.
  • Understand piping and instrument diagrams, signal flow diagrams, electrical wiring diagrams, panel drawings, one-line drawings, loop sheets and wire lists.
  • Supply and be proficient in the use of standard mechanical and electrical hand tools of the trade.
  • Capable of driving a forklift and operating company pool vehicle.
  • Possess a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
  • Must have a hands-on approach and possess a strong work ethic.
