InterCare is searching for a Full-Time IT Network Administrator to join our team! Work Hours:

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with evening and weekend hours as necessary.


The Network Administrator's role is to ensure the reliability, performance and security of core network infrastructure (routers, switches, VoIP, Wi-Fi, VPN, ASA), and telecommunications systems. The Network Administrator will participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, optimization, and enhancement of all core network hardware, software, and services. The Network Administrator will play a key role in managing network improvement projects.


Description of Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages internal core infrastructure and network edge devices and services
  • Responsible for day to day management of all network devices including: routers, firewalls, ISP interfaces, switches, wireless controllers, VPN endpoints.
  • Manages all wireless networks and ensures good performance, reliability and security.
  • Is responsible for the proper configuration and security of all site to site VPNs.
  • Manages internal surveillance systems.
  • Manages telecommunications and internet service provider (ISP) systems
  • Responsible for day to day management of all corporate telecommunications systems including but not limited to: Cisco Call Manager (CCM), Cisco Unity Connect (CUC), Cisco Contact Center Express (CCX), and Cisco Jabber.
  • Responsible for management of telecom equipment including phones and faxes.
  • Coordinates service and support through ISPs.
  • Manages network technology projects and solutions
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling network projects.
  • Works with outside support partners as needed to resolve complex problems.
  • Recommends changes and enhancements to all devices and services within area of responsibility.
  • Considers potential financial impact of all recommendations.
  • Provides cross over support within the department
  • Is a backup for other IT staff as needed.
  • Requests additional assistance from coworkers and outside support partners as needed.
  • Provides end user support
  • Takes end user phone calls and help desk requests as they come in.
  • Visits sites as needed to resolve end user problems.
  • Is on call after hours using a rotating weekly schedule among other IT support staff.
  • Is responsive to end user requests.
  • Manages help requests in the help desk system.
  • Logs user service requests in the help desk system and documents support provided.
  • Checks help desk system often for new trouble reports.
  • Responds to new service requests within one business day.
Requirements:

Professional and Technical Knowledge:

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in IT related field.
  • Cisco CCNA or higher level Cisco certification
  • Experience with Cisco communications products (CCM, CUC, CCX)

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient with SSH and Cisco CLI.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Communication Skills:

  • Possesses a professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly express complex ideas verbally and in writing.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, frequently sit, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, reach with arms & hands, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and manipulate (using keyboard and office equipment, mounting and connecting network equipment)
  • Visual acuity to use keyboard, operate office equipment, and read printed material and regularly required to talk and hear.
