Chemical Operator 2nd and 3rd shifts

This position is responsible for the safe manufacture of microspheres, a light-weight functional additive for industrial use. Responsibilities also include packaging the end-product and quality control to ensure the product meets specifications.

2nd shift = 2:00pm, Monday – 12:30am, Friday

3rd shift = 8:00pm, Monday – 6:30am, Friday

• Maintain a safe work environment

• Maintain a clean work environment complying with 5S housekeeping standards

• Lifts and dumps containers/bags of materials into hoppers to create batches of product

• Ensure continuity of material flow for the process

• Stage raw materials for batches

• Operate packaging machines to fill drums and boxes

• Take samples as needed or required for quality assurance

• Ensure recyclable materials are broken down and placed in loading area

• Ensure pallets are stocked for loading materials

• Remove unused pallets from work area

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Education — Must be able to pass basic skills assessment; High school diploma or GED

• Experience — manufacturing experience, including ability to drive a forklift

• Must be able to lift 55 lbs.

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

• Must be able to pass forklift certification and operate the forklift on a daily basis
