  • Invoice Processing: Manage the weekly review of the Invoice dashboard to address any invoice returns or process origination invoices. Daily tasks include sorting, scanning, and uploading invoices into our accounting software.
  • Payables Workflow: Process approved payables, ensuring all invoices are paid on time using various payment methods (Checks/EFT/Credit Cards through Bill Pay). Communicate any funding shortages to the property manager.
  • Vendor Management: Analyze vendor statements received by mail, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments. Contact vendors as needed for invoice clarification or to address statement imbalances.
  • Financial Reporting and Payments: Monthly processing of insurance payments and management of cash balances for funding.
  • Accounts Receivable Management: Analyze the accounts receivable report for affordable housing to identify and correct any discrepancies. Adjust resident ledgers using the affordable housing tax credit function as necessary.
  • Portfolio Accounting: Maintain accurate tenant ledgers, respond to property accounting inquiries about expense variances, and manage tenant communications, including ledger queries and payment processing.

Who We Are Looking For (Ideal Candidate):

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Work Environment: Capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Disposition: Possesses a positive attitude and is receptive to feedback, essential for ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Analytical Abilities: Comfortable with numbers and adept at problem-solving.
  • Initiative: Self-motivated and intellectually curious, with the ability to independently pursue projects.
  • Confidentiality: Demonstrates a steadfast commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.
