Job Description
The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing, serving and disposing of foods for organization patients, staff and visitors. Prepares simple and routine food dishes and performs a variety of tasks in preparation, cooking and cleanup.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
- Prepares patient and employee meals in accordance with menus and special diets ordered by the physician and/or set up by the consulting dietitian.

- Follows the basic principles of safety and sanitation procedures.

- Assists the nursing staff in preparing patient snacks as requested.

- Follows the basic principles of safety and sanitation procedures including clean up, loading and unloading dishwasher, clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas.

- Assures employees are following sanitary procedures/certifications.

Hours: Minimum 8-16 hours/week, 4:00pm-7:30pm, Monday-Friday, rotating weekends
Education, Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent Prior experience in dietary preferred.
Certificates, Licensure, Registrations:
- Valid driver's license.
- Valid CPR for transporting residents.
