SUMMARY

This individual will oversee dining room area to ensure clean, sanitary stock of dishes, glasses and utensils and ensures dining area is properly clean, along with till area and pick up order area.

Comply with all property and department policies, practices and procedures. Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution. Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

 Prepares tableware for washing, i.e. scrapes plates, bowls and cups, pre-soak silverware, places all items to be washed in proper totes.

 Wipes off and sanitizes table.

 Wipes down salt, pepper shakers, as well as Ketchup, Mustard, Honey and syrup bottles.

 Prepares table for set-up.

 Maintains a clean, sanitary work area and ensures that staff members follow proper sanitation procedures.

 Removes garbage from kitchen area to proper storage area.

 Keeps dining room floors clean, as well as dining areas. (sweeps, mops, and vacuums)

 Distributes clean dishware to appropriate area.

 Greet guests in a friendly manner –smiling and with an upbeat attitude.

 Assist with seating arrangements, including moving tables and chairs.

 Promotes a clean, safe and healthy work environment for employees and guests.

 Promptly reports all concerns to Supervisor.

 Ensure that operation of equipment, tools and materials are handled in a safe manner.

 Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.

 Follow proper service procedures as outlined in the training manual pertaining to the foodservice outlet serving in.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, AND REGISTRATIONS

 Must be able to submit supporting documents of education and training (High School Diploma, GED, Degree and Certificates) to support qualifications.

 Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in good standing according to the licensing rules and regulations.

 Must be able to obtain and maintain in good standing a Driver’s License and qualify for Fleet Management coverage on company vehicles.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required; ability to receive Food Handlers Card within six (6) months of employment. Willing and able to attend additional training and education in the proper use of cleaning supplies and restaurant cleaning (G1)

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong organizational skills required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables. Must be able to communicate effectively in person, while on the phone, while using intercom/microphone, and in writing.
