General Labor, $16/hr – 1st Shift - Ithaca, MI
Maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using industrial cleaning equipment and machines while ensuring all protective functions are utilized
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the wearing of all required personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using industrial cleaning equipment and machines while ensuring all protective functions are utilized.
  • General custodial labor.
  • Clean manufacturing areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, machines, etc.). Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.
  • Ability to handle equipment and machinery.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Keep area clean and orderly, per 5S requirements, this includes aisle ways and areas around the equipment being used.
  • Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualification Requirements:

  • Possess the ability to follow directions from and communicate with supervisors, technicians and co-workers in a professional manner.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Ability to comprehend and train to documents such as work instructions, safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in the English language.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member with co-workers.
  • Exhibit a high degree of responsibility with an emphasis on quality and safety.
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively.
