Job title: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist

Location: Multiple States

Travel: N/A

Duties:

  • The applicant shall Observes and participates in squadron activities in order to identify psychosocial stressors and barriers to optimal human performance.
  • The applicant shall Develops and implements initiatives to mitigate psychosocial stressors and risks and optimize airmen performance.
  • Provides psychological consultation, education, and training to military commanders/senior leaders, other mental health professionals, and medical staff.
  • The applicant shall Conducts psychodiagnostics assessments and provides evidence-based psychotherapy.
  • The applicant shall Attends and participates in all PHNX events including, but not limited to scheduled meetings, safety huddles, meetings affecting patient readiness, and monthly unit data analysis briefings.

Qualification:

  • The applicant shall have Knowledge of the Air Force Medical Service OST Concept of Operations as it relates to the development of comprehensive human performance program while centering on injury prevention, performance enhancement, and nutritional guidance
  • Ability to administer health screening and fitness assessments, exercise prescription, progressive individual fitness programs, and to demonstrate proper exercise techniques.
  • The applicant must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Education/Experience:

  • The applicant shall be a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
  • The applicant must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
  • The applicant must possess a master’s degree from an accredited university program in physical therapy, athletic training, exercise science, exercise physiology, biomechanics, strength and conditioning, or related field is highly desirable.
