Role Overview
As a Graphic Design Intern at AdAction, you will be an integral part of our design team, working closely with designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to deliver visually appealing and impactful designs. This internship is designed for individuals with a passion for graphic design, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to create compelling visuals in the mobile marketing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the design team to enhance product branding strategies.
Create visually stunning graphics, illustrations, and layouts for various digital materials, including social media, websites, emails, and UI/UX
Assist in the creation of wireframes and mockups to present design ideas.
Conduct research on industry trends and competitor analysis to ensure designs are innovative and up-to-date.
Actively participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute creative ideas and solutions.
Communicate design concepts effectively, both verbally and visually, to ensure alignment with project goals.
Skills and Competencies
Currently enrolled in a college-level graphic design program or a related field.
Solid understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) as well as Figma
Knowledge of illustration techniques and the ability to create original illustrations.
Ability to think creatively and translate ideas into visually appealing designs.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in design files.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Effective communication skills to convey ideas and concepts to stakeholders.
It would be beneficial to have a strong portfolio that showcases your design skills and creative thinking but not required.
Internship Details
Hours: ~20 hours per week (unpaid)
Duration: Summer 2024 (typically May through August with flexibility)
Portfolio Development: Gain hands-on experience and build a diverse portfolio of design projects.
