Retail Intern (Summer 2024)

Overview:

As a successful Retail Intern, you will learn and assist in the management of the merchandising for The Ripken Experience. During this internship, we will be happy to work with your school to help you get the required college credits to successfully complete the program.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in receiving and organizing retail inventory.
• Operate a POS system.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary environment within the retail shop.
• Assist in the management and daily maintenance of cost of sales, reporting, and inventory.
• Regularly monitor the retail store and ensure that it is well stocked, and items are ticketed.
• Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects following the designated timeframe, as determined by the Manager.
• Provide the Retail Coordinator with feedback, ideas, and suggestions about new business practices and efficiencies.

Qualifications:

Required:

• College student seeking credit or recent college graduate seeking work experience.
• Required to work flexible schedule on the needs of the business.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive and effective leadership and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Reliable transportation
• Routinely required to work extended hours of time including weekdays/nights, and weekends.
• Stand for long periods of time.
