Position Purpose:

Participates in the design process and is exposed to tester design. Builds, assembles, and verifies test equipment.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hardware, Software, Electrical, Physics or similar is required.
  • Experience with Lab View is required.
  • Experience with basic wiring, circuits, soldering, and electronics is required.
  • Experience purchasing components to design build test hardware.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to read and understand prints.
  • Ability to use hand tools.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Designs hardware and system tests for our camera device.
  • Programs simple test sequences (National Instruments).
  • Performs acceptance testing on newly built test equipment.
  • Runs testing to verify testing equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Create prints and test schematics.
  • Works on cross-functional development teams to create tests for new hardware.
  • Specs and Purchases components needed to build hardware.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to work in an office and manufacturing environment in Belmont, MI.
  • Must be aware and follow safe working practices when assembling and working on test equipment.
  • Able to work with hand tools.
  • Must be able to sit for much of the workday with periodic walking and/or standing.
  • This position is full-time.
