Title: Data Governance Consultant (Junior)

Personnel Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other computer related field.
  • At least five (5) years of relevant work experience with data management, transformation, analytics and governance.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a data focused position or any equivalent combination of training, experience, and skills.
  • Strong background in large-scale, shared data environments.

Capabilities

  • Experience in data management, transformation, analytics and governance.
  • Experience during other projects dealing with data from various sources and the integration of current or new data flows.
  • Assist with establishing an enterprise data governance roadmap including strategic priorities for the development of information-based capabilities.
  • Assist with providing plans for an enterprise-wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality standards and the protection of sensitive data.
  • Assist with recommending modifications needed to organizational behavior policies, data standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools, and data architecture.
  • Assist with recommending operational prioritization and planning for business areas and technology data based on business requirements.
  • Assist with design recommendations to build and maintain automated process for data quality initiatives.
  • Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices to maintain compliance.
  • Some knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues.
  • Demonstrated skills in analysis, problem solving, customer service, and relationship building desired.
  • Assist with creating and deploying best practices and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, written, oral, and presentation skills.
