Med Lab Techs needed in Wrangell, Alaska and Sitka, Alaska
We are trying to fill TWO permanent needs for Medical Laboratory Technicians:
• Community Medical Center in Wrangell, Alaska
• Community Medical Center in Sitka, Alaska
Job description is the same for either location:
• Salary is $76K to $100K depending on experience
• Shift is Days, Full Time
• Permanent, full time positions
Responsibilities:
• Applies advanced technical skills and seasoned judgment to provide a full range of sample test analyses and laboratory services independently and competently in a hospital-based laboratory
• Understands and assists the laboratory manager with implementing CAP standards and CLIA regulations in their department of responsibility.
• Provides specialized expertise in microbiology, transfusion medicine, molecular biology, and infectious disease safety. Performs patient specimen testing.
Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Medical Technologist (ASCP) OR Clinical Laboratory Scientist (AMT)
• One year of clinical experience or one year of hospital internship subsequent to degree.
