Virtual SAT tutor

Job description

Duties

• - Small group tutoring online sessions to students preparing for SAT Test
• - Assess students' strengths and weaknesses in the provided subject matter
• - Deliver provided personalized study plans to address students' specific needs
• - Teach test-taking strategies and techniques to improve performance
• - Create and administer practice tests to gauge progress
• - Monitor student progress and provide feedback on areas of improvement
• - Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to support student success
• - Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress

Experience

• - Previous experience in test preparation tutoring or teaching is preferred
• - Familiarity with learning technology and online tutoring platforms
• - Strong classroom management skills to engage and motivate students
• - Knowledge of adult education principles and techniques
• - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• - Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
• - Proficiency in math and other relevant subjects for test preparation
• - Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning is a plus
• - Knowledge of special education strategies is beneficial

We offer competitive pay rates for qualified tutors $22.50 per session. The schedule is set, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 5:30-7:30 for five weeks, Feb 6- Mar 7 is the first group. As a test preparation tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' academic success while gaining valuable teaching experience.
