Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Summary: As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. You will perform detailed inspections, document findings, and collaborate with production teams to address any quality issues. Your role is critical in maintaining high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  2. Utilize various inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to perform accurate measurements and assessments.
  3. Inspect products for defects, deviations from specifications, and other quality issues, and document findings accurately.
  4. Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues identified during inspections, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  5. Monitor manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in quality control procedures and practices.
  6. Perform quality audits and spot checks at different stages of the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  7. Maintain detailed records of inspection results, including non-conformities and corrective actions taken.
  8. Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to relay quality-related information and facilitate problem-solving.
  9. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  10. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing inspection tasks to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in quality control or related fields is preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of quality control principles, techniques, and tools.
  4. Proficiency in using measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  5. Familiarity with quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  6. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects and deviations accurately.
  7. Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  8. Problem-solving skills and the ability to propose practical solutions to quality issues.
  9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
  10. Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
