Key qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Certification, must be current
  • passion for healthcare and willingness to assist others

  • ability to travel among all CUC locations (Lake Barrington, Elgin, and Hoffman Estates)

Description:

As a certified medical assistant in our procedural department, your primary role at CUC is to serve as a vital link between the patient and the provider or other departments. You must use your communication skills to assist the patients in getting the care that they need. Additionally, you must also be an excellent listener and observer, taking the time to learn the flow of the fast-paced environment while remaining receptive to learning new knowledge. Your attention to detail will be put to the test, as you focus on sterile technique, managing schedules efficiently, and accurately preparing rooms for exams. At Comprehensive Urologic Care, we recognize the efforts that our clinical staff puts into their work and for our medical assistants some of these daily tasks can include:

  • preparing rooms and sterilizing equipment
  • rooming patients, prepping them for the exam, and communicating any issues with the provider
  • collaborating with other departments to perfect the process of the patient visit
  • preparing patient charts ahead of the schedule to ensure the appointments run smoothly
