Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The job entails managing independent case load including civil litigation, title litigation, and potential eviction and bankruptcy matters. This position includes, but is not limited to, making appearances in state and federal court for routine and contested hearings, reviewing incoming litigation and developing case strategy, drafting documents and conducting discovery and settlement negotiations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and handle caseload of contested foreclosures, defensive litigation, and ancillary matters on behalf of mortgage servicers and investors.
Analyze loan files, title reports, and other client documents.
Draft motions, pleadings, settlement agreements, discovery demands, and responses.
Appear in court for hearings, case management conferences, and to argue motions.
Handle depositions and mediations independently.
Create matter budgets and seek fee approval from clients as per their requirements; track billable and non-billable time.
Communicate with clients to ensure quality representation and implementation of all client directives, including electronic communication through various online portals used by clients.
Write, review, and edit reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, and other documents for compliance purposes.
Think on your feet and quickly shift from task to task depending on daily needs.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of federal, state and local laws. Ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations, normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and work experience.
Membership in the State Bar of Georgia required.
Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
2+ years of related experience in the mortgage area, which includes knowledge of reviewing title to real property, how the foreclosure process works, and relevant litigation experience.

Motivated self starter, ability to multi-task, detail-oriented, flexible and personable
Ability to handle large case load
Strong character and positive attitude are absolute requirements.
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Positive attitude and willingness to adapt to change
Must possess excellent organizational skills
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully.
Balance team and individual responsibilities; contribute to building a positive team spirit.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality.
Detailed analytic experience and organizational skills required
