Job Title: E-Commerce National Account Sales Manager (contract role to permanent full-time hire)

Kindred is expanding its B2B and D2C channels with major product launches in 2024 and 2025. We’re looking for an E-Commerce National Account Manager with diverse sales channel experience and deep experience in home furnishings and home improvement channels. This role is customer-facing and, therefore, requires omnichannel knowledge and experience conducting meetings that further enhance ecommerce customer relationships and deliver high return on investment.

Kindred’s Global Headquarters is located in Southwest Michigan (Benton Harbo) and while geographic proximity is highly preferred, open to remote/hybird opportunities for the right candidates.

Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, the Ecommerce National Account Sales Manager will be a key member of the growing Sales team, interacting daily with marketing and other key functions.

The position would oversee the go-to-market activities for all eCommerce and marketplace sales channels while pivotal in driving sales and profitability through digital merchandising tactics on the brand website and marketplace platforms.

This job is for a contract role to permanent hire with a competitive salary reflective of your crucial role in our expansion.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the VP of Sales to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the national e-commerce landscape
  • Marketing Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including email, social media, SEO, SEM, and affiliate marketing, to drive traffic and conversions
  • Responsible for the product catalog and consumer reviews syndication for all channels
  • E-commerce Platform Management: Manage the multi-channel direct sales model across ecommerce storefronts and marketplace platforms for trade customers such as Wayfair, Pottery Barn, Home Depot, Lowe's, Amazon, Walmart, DTC, plus new retail and international opportunities
  • Analytics and Reporting: Continually monitor, track, and report digital merchandising tactics and channel guidelines and adjust based on data analysis to optimize the online shopping experience with product positioning and ultimately drive sales; reporting to Sales and Marketing leadership
  • Market Research: Define needed market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for growth within the ecommerce space
  • Project manage all steps, sprints, and processes to keep projects on time and on budget

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in E-Commerce, Merchandising, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience working directly with online teams at major retailers such as: Wayfair, Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Amazon, Pottery Barn, others
  • Proven experience in ecomm/digital Sales & Marketing with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects at once
  • Deep understanding of ecommerce platforms, digital marketing channels, and sales strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Work cross-functionally with peers in brand marketing, product development, sales and operations teams to determine the product assortment, catalog and promotional programs within each channel's marketplace and media programs.
  • Experience in consumer brand/product manufacturing or related industries
  • Highly organized with strong project management abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Google products

  • E-commerce business management experience, including D2C, Amazon Seller or through trade customer’s online websites

Work Environment

Work takes place in an office setting and a home office. This job may require working more than 8 hours daily and/or 30 hours weekly. It requires sitting and working at a computer for extended periods and communicating effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone, and by computer. This position occasionally requires lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 25 lbs.

May travel domestically and/or internationally via commercial carrier. Travel up to 20% of the time.
