Mid-Point Machine, LLC a leader in build to print machining is seeking Machinists with experience running Vertical Milling Machines and/or Lathes. We also a have a need for someone interested in running our Large Vertical Lathes. We are a job shop with a diverse customer base. In order to be successful the right person needs to run the machines with a minimal amount of direct supervision. A solid ability to run a job from the set-up to deburring is required.

  • This position is for first shift

  • Salary Ranges from $26.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform machining operations as directed by routing with close tolerances or finish requirements

• Performs setups, prove out new programs and run existing programs with frequent setups and changeovers

• Generates programs or edits existing programs as required

• Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and meets company standards

• Must be able to detect and recognize machining problems

• Reports any non-conforming or defective material

• Communicate problems and offers solutions

• Will be required to deburr work and relay any information required to the next shift

• May be required to operate multiple machines or functions internal to primary operations as circumstances permit

• Maintains safe operations of all machine tools and follows safety procedures

• Completes special projects and other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree or equivalent from two‐year technical school; or high school diploma or GED with three year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts critical to effectively managing the position.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations where there is limited standardization.

Physical Demands

Lifting: This position requires lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.

Work Environment: The work environment is a machine shop, hearing and eye protection required.

Noise: The noise level is typical of a manufacturing environment.
