Solderer / Rework Technician

A company specializing in supplying and repairing electronic parts for mature, end-of-life and legacy systems is looking for a Rework and Mechanical Assembler. Typical systems include medical, renewable energy, airport lighting systems, parking access systems and others. In this position, you will bring your experience soldering and reworking PCB's, electronics, and mechanical (sub) assemblies to find the root cause for failure and repair it.

Location: Camarillo, CA
Salary: $18.00-24.00/hr (DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide variety of tasks related to the repair, rework and test of complex PCBA and Mechanical assemblies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience performing PCBA rework and repair using hand soldering and desoldering tools.

  • Ability to select appropriate methods, materials to perform the repair/rework.

  • Ability to remove and replace fine pitch components (E.g. TSOP, QFP, SOIC) without damage to the PCB or components.
  • Ability to perform repair of damaged PCB traces.
  • Disassembly and assembly of Electro-mechanical Assemblies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Consistently produce high work quality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Following qualifications/certifications are preferred and a plus:
    • J-STD-001 Soldering Standards and Specifications
    • IPC-A-610 Acceptability Standards
    • IPC-7711/7721 Rework, modification and Repair Process Standards
    • NASA STD-8739 Soldered Electrical Connection Standards
