Staff Accountant

Job Title: Staff Accountant Location: Burleson, TX Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 Industry: Steel Fabrication Job Function: To assist in the maintenance of internal systems to support the company's accounting operations. Responsibilities include various tasks such as managing sales tax accounting, compiling monthly recurring journal entries, aiding in month-end/year-end closure procedures, and overseeing day-to-day accounting activities. The Client: Our client is one of the better-known design, fabrication, and installation companies in the steel industry across central North America, with an opening for an accountant to join their established team. Responsibilities: Perform daily bank reconciliation tasks. Reconcile key trial balance accounts. Manage inventory and sales tax accounting. Monitor and reconcile job cost accounting. Assist in reconciling inter-company accounts receivable/accounts payable. Ensure monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and completion of supporting schedules. Execute necessary month-end duties, such as recording cash and inter-company transfers, and inter-company AR/AP journal entries. Requirements: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. Alternatively, 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
