ECS is seeking a ORACLE DBA to work in our Hybrid office. Job Description: Responsibilities Design and implement Oracle database in accordance to end users’ information needs and views. Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner. Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data. Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses. Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users. Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards. Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity. Maintain database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems. Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to fix and improve databases. Apply patches and security configuration updates. Provide occasional DBA support to other ECS areas, when needed. Maintain documentation. Qualifications Proven work experience as an Oracle Database Administrator Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools Familiarity with programming languages API Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically. BS degree in a computer discipline Knowledge of Oracle database management & performance tuning Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios Minimum Security + Certification Preferred Financial system DBA experience. Proficient with RHEL command line. Ability to troubleshoot and fix Oracle software issues and update configurations. Required Skills: Design and implement Oracle databases, identify, and solve database requirements, and support users by managing data access, backing up and restoring databases, and ensuring the performance, availability, and security of data. Participate in Technical Exchange meetings with the PBES team. Support PBES Program surge efforts. US citizenship required per contract. Secret security clearance. Desired Skills: Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices, and are familiar with the full data lifecycle from creation and transformation to usage and archiving. Have previous working experience on financial system databases.
