Customer Service Rep needed for healthcare coverage company -Remote in OREGON ONLY

Job Description:

In this role you will handle both inbound and outbound phone calls (50/50 split right now) to help patients using the company program; our goals are to grow our program enrollment, drive payment activity, and provide first-class customer service. Outbound calls consistent of asking customers for payments.

•You will serve as primary phone contact and handle all inbound calls from account holders, and potential account holders.

•You will place outbound calls to account holders, which includes welcome calls to new account holders, calls on past due accounts, servicing calls to non-enrolled accounts, and special one-off campaigns to support our ongoing mission of patient advocacy.

•You will receive ongoing quality evaluations, coaching and mentoring from Customer Care supervisor, leads and peers.

•You will be coachable and receptive to continuous feedback, embracing challenges and development opportunities.

•You will leverage technology and industry best-practices to document call activity and engagements, escalate complaints, and help answer questions from patients using a proprietary CRM.

•You will provide white-glove, first-class service as an advocate for the patient and an ambassador for the company brand.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

• Customer service experience (retail, restaurant, call center, etc.) - having a strong customer service mindset is most important

• High school diploma and/or relevant work experience is preferred

• 1-2 years of telephone customer support/call center experience is preferred

• Experience in a hospital and/or financial services environment, including knowledge of HIPAA, is preferred

• Must have proper childcare.

• Must have quite/private workspace. Cannot work in a room with other people.

At-home Internet:

• ISP: Xfinity (Comcast), Century Link or Frontier (now Ziply Fiber).

• Minimum bandwidth: 100 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload (aligning with the Xfinity/Comcast “Performance Select” package)

• Private Connection with password protected WiFi

• Available Ethernet port (while working, must be connected via Ethernet – we can provide an ethernet cable up to 25 feet long)

Work Environment

PLEASE READ:

Shifts will be assigned after they start. Make sure people are open Monday through Friday, 5am to 5pm. They will get to pick a preference but people don't always get what they are looking for. Training in the first 3 weeks, 8am-4:30.

Candidates must be local to Portland. Equipment will be provided and picked up from their office

Candidates MUST be able to pick up and return equipment with a days notice to the Beaverton office. They will receive a web cam during training that will also need to be returned at the end of training. Need to be available to go into the office to get updated equipment as well when it is released.

Equipment - will receive two large monitors and a keyboard so they need space for this. They do not get a laptop - just a computer box and monitors.
