Our semiconductor client is looking for a Junior Field Service Engineer to join their team. The person in this role should be comfortable working in a clean room and collaborating with other departments. This a full-time permanent position with benefits. M-F 40 hrs/week.
Job Summary:
- Responsible for installation, repair, calibration, and maintenance of semiconductor process equipment to minimize downtime.
- Monitor, inspect, and maintain semiconductor equipment to prevent malfunctions.
- Document maintenance activity, monitor service parts inventory, and order replacements.
- Participate in technical training, troubleshoot, install, and repair high vacuum equipment, including PVD and etching systems.
- Identify, analyze, and repair product failures; Develop and implement training plans.
- Train Field Service Engineers and customer technicians on equipment usage and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- General education and/or vocational training plus 1-2 years of related experience.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience with semiconductor vacuum equipment (PVD, CVD, RIE, Ultra-high vacuum systems, IBE/IBD, and vacuum robot systems).
- Experience with highly complex multi-chamber systems preferred.
- PLC experience is a plus.
- Ability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel overnight for business.
- Up to 15% travel required, including driving for company business.
- Must be available for the duration of assignments that may extend 1-2 months.
