CNC Machinist

Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a Shop Liaison to join a global manufacturer of mining products located in Lebanon Kentucky. This position requires the ability to set up and operate manual lathes, drill presses and small universal mills to make a variety of components and assemblies. Must be able to read and work from prints, perform set-ups and read micrometers, calipers and dial indicators. Program, set-up fixturing for CNC equipment (VTL, HBM, horizontal machining center).

1st shift 7:00am – 3:30pm

OR 

2nd shift 3:15pm – 11:45pm

Day to Day:

• Operate and program CNC Machining equipment to make and/or repair a variety of components..
• Work from prints to make a variety of components.
• Perform other assignments at the direction of departmental supervision.
• Obet all safety rules and perform housekeeping functions.

Must Haves:

• 1+ years of experience with CNC Machining
  • VTL = Vertical Lathe Machine (Toshiba | Akuma)
  • HBM = Horizontal Boring Mills (Olympia | Gilbert)
• Experience w/ G-Codes or M-Codes
• Ability to edit CNC programs
• Experience being a Manual Machinist
  • NOT A MACHINE OPERATOR

Plusses:

• Ability to write G&M Programs / code from scratch
• Prior experience w/ CNC Machining pertaining to engines / motors
