1. Coordinating all financial transactions such as sales invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
2. Understanding of grain accounting principles and the ability to apply these to a range of transactional issues.
3. Conducting relevant inventory management, including tracking sales, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures.
4. Maintaining a thorough record of all business transactions, verifying recorded transactions and reporting discrepancies to management.
5. Assisting with the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and auditing procedures.
6. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
7. Assist in the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
8. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
9. Reporting on a regular basis to management on business income, expenditure, and any variances from budgets.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working in the agricultural industry is preferred
2. Proven bookkeeping experience with knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
3. Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
4. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
5. Knowledge and background in the agriculture industry, particularly grain handling, will be an advantage.
6. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software's
7. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a high level of integrity.
8. Strong numeracy and organizational skills.
9. Excellent communication skills for dealing with suppliers, customers, and employees.
10. Ability to work independently
