Virtual School Psychologist
Location: West Virginia (Remote)
Job Type: Fulltime, Remainder of School Year - Work From Home!
Pay: $48/Hour
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Virtual School Psychologist to join our network in West Virginia. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students' mental health and well-being, providing assessments, interventions, and consultations to promote their academic, social, and emotional success in a virtual learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and needs related to academic, social, and emotional functioning.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) to support students' learning and behavior.
- Provide direct counseling and therapeutic interventions to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges, utilizing evidence-based practices and virtual platforms.
- Offer crisis intervention services and support to students in urgent situations, coordinating with appropriate stakeholders and resources as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, concerns, and interventions, and provide input on educational and mental health-related decisions.
- Provide consultation and guidance to educators and parents on effective strategies for addressing students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs in the virtual learning environment.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and policies in the fields of school psychology, mental health, and education, and apply this knowledge to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in West Virginia.
- Experience working as a school psychologist or related field, preferably in a virtual or remote setting.
- Proficient in conducting virtual assessments, counseling, and interventions using telehealth platforms and technology.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a commitment to supporting the diverse needs of students and families.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines related to school psychology practice and special education services in West Virginia.
