Special Education Teacher

Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Nogales, AZ. As a Special Education Teacher contracted through ProCare Therapy, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs. You will work collaboratively with other educators, parents, and support staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique abilities and goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs in various academic subjects
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure students' academic and social-emotional success
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid state teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred
• Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
