Details:
Position Type: Full Time, 35 hours
Caseload: K - 12th Grade, Itinerant
Pay range: $41 - 46/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling and support services to students, individually or in groups, to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies and interventions that promote student well-being and academic success.
  • Offer crisis intervention services and support during emergency situations or critical incidents.
  • Serve as a liaison between school, home, and munity resources, facilitating access to necessary services and advocating for students and families.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to teachers and staff on understanding and addressing students' social and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and munity organizations to enhance support services available to students and families.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and acmodations for students.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work.
  • School Social Worker license/certification.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, social-emotional issues, and behavior management.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and munication skills to engage with students, parents, teachers, and munity members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and effectively handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
