Join our Team and Support Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students!

Las Vegas City Schools is seeking a qualified School Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to join our team and provide interpreting services for deaf and hard of hearing students in our elementary schools.

About the Position:

• This is a part-time position with flexible hours to meet the needs of students and the school district.
• You will work directly with deaf and hard of hearing students, interpreting classroom instruction, extracurricular activities, and other school events.
• Collaboration with teachers, administrators, and parents is essential to ensure effective munication access for students.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a current New Mexico Public Education Department (NM PED) License for Interpreter for the Deaf.
• Prior experience working in an educational setting with deaf and hard of hearing students is preferred.
• Strong ASL (American Sign Language) skills and interpreting fluency are required.
• Excellent munication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are essential.
