Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with hearing impairments? Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher for a full-time, itinerant role in the Hodges, South Carolina area.
Position: DHH Teacher Location: Hodges, South Carolina area Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite Only Hourly Pay: $40-45/hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to facilitate munication and learning.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
- Valid certification as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in South Carolina (or ability to obtain certification).
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the Hodges area.
