KeyStaff is seeking a motivated Sheet Metal Operator with a roofing fabrication company located in Carrollton, TX! 

*Specific Sheet Metal Experience Required to be condidered for this role*

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am to 4:30pm

Compensation: up to $25 per hour/weekly pay (DOE)

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a reliable, team-oriented, and dependable individual to join our metal shop. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker who is willing to learn and work hard. This position is responsible for operating all tools, machinery, and equipment in the shop to ensure quality control and production goals are met.

Responsibilities

  • Consults blueprints, work orders, and/or schematics to safely construct specified structure; develops additional sketches if needed.
  • Selects appropriate material for each job based on the desired or necessary strength.
  • Cuts, bends, and shapes sheet metal to required dimensions.
  • Measures, cuts, and welds pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions.
  • Connects pieces or secures seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws.
  • Performs assigned work on assembly lines such as punching holes for screws or bending gutters.
  • Uses appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs.
  • Coordinates required shutdowns and startups of equipment with other departments after sheet metal installation.
  • Develops and maintains records for projects and repairs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and practices employed in the sheet metal trades.
  • Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
  • Ability to understand and effectively carry out complex oral and written instructions, including the interpretation of drawings, sketches, and blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to apply OSHA safety standards.
  • ½ in beard/facial hair
  • MUST have longevity in resume
  • MUST have Sheet Metal Operating Experience to interview!
