LVN/LPN - Eating Disorders, Residential

Job Description

The LVN/LPN works in a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing treatment services according to the Discovery Behavioral Health Clinical Model.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all orders from physician/psychiatrist are carried out and any information about clients and their wellbeing is promptly and clearly communicated to physician/ psychiatrist and in treatment team meetings.
• Follows and implements the Nursing Care Plan.
• Dispenses medication as prescribed.
• Counts narcotics each day, logs appropriately.
• Performs primary first aid and determines need for physician notification.
• Performs vital signs.
• Performs weekly blood draws, where applicable.
• Completing waived test for glucose monitoring, UA, Drug screen, and pregnancy.
• Responsible to ensure all the medications needed by the clients are ordered appropriately and available in the facility.
• Manages client’s medical needs including schedule appointments, complete referral/ prior authorizations for medical treatments and tests as indicated.
• Provides support during meal and snacks with the patients, including prepping, portioning and eating. 

Compensation Range: $25-35/hr.

Compensation is dependent upon education and experience. 

We have both full-time and part-time positions at our in-person 8-bed McLean Adult Residential Program. Available days/times are Wednesdays, Friday, Saturday & Sundays 7:00 PM-7:00 AM & Weekends 7:00AM-7:00 PM / rotating.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

• Experience working in behavioral healthcare, preferred 

• Must hold an unencumbered and current LVN/LPN license in the state of Virginia, required

• Obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire 

• Obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire 

• Obtain ServSafe certification within 90 day of hire 

• Must possess a current driver’s license and be in good standing
