Job Summary Forklift Drivers safely operate forklifts in support of various production lines and the shipping & receiving department to move raw material, WIP (Work in Process), finished goods, scrap hoppers, purchased components, and packaging material to designated staging areas. Material Handlers are responsible for proper handling, storage, packing, preservation and delivery of both material and product per control plans utilizing documented systems. Key Responsibilities of Forklift Drivers
  1. Perform required safety inspections on forklift equipment and document accordingly
  2. Move materials to/from production lines as well as provide packaging materials
  3. Keep production operating at maximum efficiency by eliminating forklift downtime
  4. Load and unload tractor trailers using electric and propane-powered forklift equipment
  5. Issue components and packaging to production as needed using CMS
  6. Prepare barcode labels and other production and shipping paperwork
  7. Visual inspection, packaging, and final labeling of finished goods
  8. Housekeeping and other activities as assigned
Qualifications
  1. Forklift license and/or prior forklift experience
  2. Fluency in English is required for effective communication in our workplace
  3. 1 year experience driving forklift
  4. Safe forklift driving record
  5. Warehousing, shipping/receiving experience preferred
