CORPORATE WAREHOUSE DRIVER

REGULAR FULL TIME - $23.00 - 27.00/HR

SHIFTS: Early Shifts - Weekends Required

Position Summary: The Corporate Warehouse Driver was established for the purposes of providing support to the warehousing operations with specific responsibilities of transporting orders over designated routes, ensuring safe operation of vehicles, loading and unloading trucks, picking and assembling orders for shipment to the stores, and assisting the Transportation Manager.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in receiving stock and nonstock items to ensure specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct.
• Deliver a variety of items to all store locations.
• Drive vehicles for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites.
• Load and unload delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport.
• Maintain accurate records (e.g. delivery log, etc.) for the purpose of documenting deliveries and activities.
• Participate in physical inventories to verify stock and identify losses.
• Prepare orders by pulling from stock to meet delivery requirements.
• Operates forklift and pallet jack in and around warehouse.
• Sort and organize merchandise for ease of location and picking.
• Pull product from the warehouse for shipment to the stores.
• Build and wrap pallets for shipment.
• Ensure the accuracy of each order prior to shipping.
• Transport pallets to loading dock, load, and unload shipments.
• Place shipments on racking systems.
• Track damaged product.
• Clean and maintain the warehouse to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.

Position Requirements:

• At least 25 years of age
• Clean DMV record
• Background/credit check required
• Drug screening required
  

Certifications:

• Forklift and electric pallet jack certification
• CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Certificate

Physical requirements - While performing the duty of this job, the employee will be expected to:

• Regularly stand, walk, squat, reach, kneel, bend and twist at waist and neck
• Frequently talk or hear and reach with both hands and arms above and below the shoulder
• The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or crawl
• The employee must regularly lift up to and carry 25 pounds, occasionally lift and carry up to or over 50 pounds items
• Tolerate repetitive reaching, handling, grasping, pushing, pulling gripping and manipulation of hands and fingers
• Work with and around heavy equipment and machinery such as but not limited to: a forklift, pallet jack, electric lift and large trucks
• Tolerate fluctuation in temperature during while working in the warehouse and on loading dock
• The employee must wear non-slip shoes at all times
