SECTION 1: Overview

In our supportive and fun environment, you'll partner with skilled educators to nurture and inspire young minds. This is a fantastic chance for you to dive into the world of education, pick up practical skills, and work directly with children in a dynamic setting.

SECTION 2: Role and Responsibilities

As a childcare intern, you'll play a vital role in our program by:

  • Helping lead teachers design and carry out activities that are just right for the kids’ age and needs.
  • Keeping our learning spaces safe and tidy.
  • Recording and tracking the children's growth and learning achievements.
  • Sharing updates and progress with the kids' parents and guardians.

You’ll work closely with our teaching team, spending most of your time directly engaging with children, supporting their learning journeys, and guiding them with care.

SECTION 3: Who Can Apply?

If you're a high school student aged 16 or older and are keen on making a difference in children's lives, this internship is for you! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A genuine interest in working with young children.
  • Availability to join us for at least 20 hours each week, Monday through Friday, during summer and 10 hours/week during school year.
  • Strong team player abilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to complete a background check.

Mentorship and Guidance

Every intern is paired with a mentor—an experienced educator who will help you hone your skills, provide feedback, and ensure you have a rewarding internship.

Work Assignments

You'll engage in varied tasks designed to broaden your understanding and skills in early childhood education:

  1. Curriculum Development: Aid in crafting new learning modules and activities.
  2. Classroom Assistance: Support day-to-day teaching activities and student interactions.
  3. Parent Communication: Help keep parents informed through newsletters and updates.
  4. Event Planning: Assist in organizing special events for families and the community.
  5. Marketing and Outreach: Contribute to promoting our programs locally.
  6. Research Project: Undertake a project to deepen your understanding of educational topics.

Orientation and Evaluation

Your first week will include a thorough introduction to our Academy, your role, and the team you'll be working with. Throughout your internship, you'll receive feedback to help you grow professionally and personally.

Scholarship Opportunity

As a token of our appreciation for your commitment and hard work, you will be eligible for a $500 scholarship upon successful completion of the internship.
