MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client, are NOW HIRING 2nd shift Case Packer Operator in the Indianapolis IN, area!
Pay:$17.65 / hour
Shift:2nd shift, 6PM - 6AM, Sunday to Wednesday
Location:Indianapolis, IN ( PARK100)
The Case Packer Operator is responsible for efficiently operating packaging equipment, and the cleaning of the equipment, while maintaining high standards in safety and quality.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of machine center for operation.
- Daily operation of case packer, which includes the startup, adjusting machine settings, changeovers, and cleaning. of case packer.
- Tear down packages for quality checks.
- Monitor production line while performing visual checks for problems such as pileups, jams or glue that isn’t sticking properly.
- Perform machinery parts changeovers between different product runs.
- Clean conveyor, pans and lubricate machinery as needed.
- Verify work orders.
- Check adhesive/glue type and fill as required.
- Check glue temperature setting.
- Check for proper and accurate bottle code (startup, hourly, after changeover).
- Operates machinery using a touch screen computer.
- Operate floor scrubber.
- Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
- Adhered to food safety and quality requirements.
- Notify Supervisor when material/package quality issues are observed.
- Notify Supervisor/Maintenance of any equipment issues.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Required:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 3 months related work experience.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be computer literate.

- Ability to troubleshoot problems on case packer.
- Ability to train others
- Ability to understand, record and communicate product description and codes.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with customers and co-workers
- Ability to read and interpret written information.

- Demonstrated ability to meet productivity standards.
- Observes safety and security procedures.
- Ability to do basic math.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate.
- Have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently as well as working in a team environment.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, a professional attitude, and produces accurate work product.
