Summary
Kinder World is looking for talented teachers/floaters, parttime and fulltime to join our growing team. In this role, your goal is to work directly with children of all ages, helping them build their social-emotional, language and literacy, and physical skills. We’ll equip you with tools and resources to deeply understand your students, craft lesson plans that help them thrive, and assess their progress along the way.

In this role, your goal is to work directly with children of all ages, helping them build their social-emotional, language and literacy, and physical skills. We’ll equip you with tools and resources to deeply understand your students, craft lesson plans that help them thrive, and assess their progress along the way.
Duties
- Plan, prepare, and implement developmentally appropriate activities (i.e., learning centers, curriculum implementation, art projects, and story time).
- Prepare materials and lessons for each day at least one week in advance
- Maintain a balance of activities in language and literature, music, fine and large motor skills, numbers and counting, discovery and science activities, dramatic play, and arts/crafts.
- Instruct children in activities designed to promote social, physical, emotional and intellectual growth.
- Attend children's basic needs by making sure they are fed and dressed and change diapers/pull-ups when required.
- Prepare and maintain an interesting, inviting, and organized classroom.
- Record information pertinent to each child’s development and update child’s records as needed.
- Supervise, evaluate, and plan assignments.
- Embrace our philosophy, teaching style and behavior management techniques.
Requirements
Teacher characteristics and job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Providing attentive care and attention to detail to every child
- Independent and willing to take initiative
- Positive attitude and lots of patience
- Daily room cleaning including changing diapers
- Good oral and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 6 months of experience working as a teacher at a licensed childcare center.
- Enrollment in or completion of early childhood development coursework preferred.
- Successful state background check and health assessments.
